Evaluation of simplified building energy models for urban-scale energy analysis of buildings

چکیده
Simplification of building energy models is one the most common approaches for efficiently estimating performance buildings over a whole city. In city-scale models, abstraction into an information model and division representative thermal zones cannot be building-specific but must generic applicable to many buildings. Considering limited research on such methods, in this study, comprehensive evaluation relevant assumptions zoning configurations levels detail conducted three simulation tools IDA ICE, TRNSYS, EnergyPlus. The findings from configuration level its comparison with measured suggest that single-zone residential gives very similar result multi-zone core zone perimeter every floor building. For model, ICE overestimates EnergyPlus underestimates demand compared more complex by approximately same amount, preferred due shorter time. It also proven higher can increase accuracy results 6% annually. When extending scope study district analysis where somewhat lesser degree allowed individual building, simplified give acceptable results. • Zoning LoDs UBEMs were analyzed using BEM tools. Results validated gave different responses simplifications. Simplified deviated negligibly detailed models.

Energy Efficiency of Buildings: A New Challenge for Urban Models
Despite some recent conceptual studies and a modicum of empirical evidence, urban models do not currently take into account the energy efficiency of buildings. This paper presents a framework for incorporating energy efficiency and energy use of buildings into urban models based on microeconomic theory and pricing mechanisms in real estate markets. Using the example of the IRPUD urban land use,...

Before the modern era, cities were built on a scale that did not change the environmental balance significantly. With the expansion of population and the expansion of cities and the conversion of settlements into big cities and metropolises, new conditions have emerged which show that cities today make their own climates. The new climates created in these areas are completely different from the...

A 1-D canopy interface model (CIM) has been developed recently and integrated in the meso-scale meteorological WRF v3.5 model in order to improve the surface representation. One of the objectives of such a model is to prepare for the coupling of micro-scale models with meso-scale models so as to improve building energy consumption estimates at the urban scale as well as improve meteorological v...
